Moving on In the Spirit!!

Over the past weekend, the saints at Apostolic Christian Church (soon to be Crotona Park AFC) hosted the 10th Annual Prayer Brunch. It was an awesome experience.

Things started slow at first, but it's not how you start -- it's how you finish. We started with some soul stirring Praise and Worship, performed by my girls Fellowship. The really put us in a mind set to worship the Lord. We forgot about all of our other concerned and totally focused on Jesus!!

ACCs' youth ensemble was a blessing also as they sang "Faithful" and "High In All the Earth." But the corporate worship was only the appetizers in this 3 course meal -- the best was yet to come.

Rev. Peterson Passade, Pastor of Apostolic Faith Church in Bedford Stuyvesant, preached an awesome word: It's Not a Stumbling Block.... It’s a Stepping Stone!!! I have heard the Reverend preach before, but on this day he was under an anointing that I have never seen him under before. I have seen him teach seperately and I have seen him preach seperately, but on this day he put it together in a way that can only be explained as a Ramah word.

He admonished us to really know who Jesus is. He is our Rabbi, and if we can grab hold of the hem of his garment we can be made whole. We learned that getting what we need from the Lord will not be easy but if we persevere and press we will receive what we so desperately need from the Lord. Then he illustrated who we are and the type of organization we belong to: the "general assembly and church of the firstborn". And how to claim the rights and authority of the firstborn. It was powerful!!

He took us through the bible like a master surgeon. Precisely, pointing to specific scriptures that illuminated the theme: What we are currently going through is actually a stepping stone to becoming closer to God, to becoming more powerful, and to receiving the blessing!!

Minister Yvette Blaize was a blessing!! Her ministry of Prayer and Intercession was the final course. It was last but definitely not least Inspired by the Holy Spirit several people facilitated prayer for Unsaved Loved ones, Saints in Financial difficulty, those who are Saved and Single, and those in the Christian Community that are under bondage and need deliverance. Saints brought pictures of loved ones. They brought their wallets and pocket books desperate to receive a blessing from the Lord. It was totally awesome!! We thank God for another successful brunch!!! And we are expected many more blessing in 2008!!

What a Mighty God. This Prayer Breakfast has truly impacted my life. God moved through His Word by the mouth of Pastor Peter and was manifested through the prayer summit by Min. Yvette Blaze. What a time in the Lord that was. All I can say is, AMEN!
